Spinach

So, spinach is back on store shelves, but does that mean we're buying it? I love spinach. It think it makes the best salads ever. Ilove it cooked in a soup. And dips? Can anyone say spinach artichoke? Yum.

Despite I that, I'm still leery of buying it. I have little kids, including a nursing baby, who are depending on me, so I can' t get sick. And worse than that is the thought of them getting sick.

One of the deaths linked to spinach was a two-year-old boy who was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center from his hospital in Idaho. His illness and death were all over the news here. Even though he wasn't a Utah native...I don't know. It was just too close for comfort.

Will I buy it? Probably not for an other week or so. This will allow me to sit back and see if any of the brave people will get sick. After that I'll buy it and rewash before eating fresh.
